Bonnie’s Jams in Cambridge, Mass., which continues to expand throughout the United States, has now found a market in Asia as well.
Two companies from Japan and Korea approached owner Bonnie Shershow earlier this year about bringing her products into their countries.

Popbar Franchises Slated for Miami Area
Popbar, the maker of customizable popGelato, popSorbetto, and YogurtPops, founded in New York in 2010, has signed a multiunit franchising agreement with Kaydar Enterprises Inc., owned by Miami residents, Clifford and Shannon Mays. The development will focus on the broader Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach areas.
Miami will now become the third U.S. city to claim Popbar locations, joining with Anaheim, Calif., and the original West Village New York store. Popbar’s international locations can be found in Jakarta, Indonesia; Torreon, Mexico; and Edmonton, Canada. New openings are also scheduled for Seoul, South Korea, and Moscow.

Study: Americans Support FDA’s Voluntary GMO Labeling Policy

UNFI to Acquire Tony’s Fine Foods
United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Tony’s Fine Foods, a West Sacramento, Calif.-based food distribution company with an 80-year history, according to reports in the Sacramento Bee.
Providence, R.I.-based UNFI, which distributes more than 65,000 organic and specialty food products throughout the United States and Canada, will operate Tony’s as a wholly owned subsidiary upon completion of the nearly $200 million deal.

Dallas Market Center announced that renovations are underway in two neighborhoods of the Trade Mart to meet the needs of the growing luxury gift, lifestyle design and gourmet housewares categories.
