Kitchenwares on the Square in the historic Town Square of McKinney, Texas, is moving to a new and larger location due to its resounding success at the flagship store, which opened in 2011.
Customers have come from all over north Texas and southern Oklahoma to visit the only independently owned kitchenware store in the north Dallas/Fort Worth area, according to a company statement.
The new shop, located at 213 East Louisiana St. in McKinney, features a storefront three times the size of the original location on Kentucky Street. The new location is still in the historic Town Square less than a block away from the McKinney Performing Arts Center.
Kitchenwares on the Square is notable for its wide range of specialty kitchen gadgets and utensils, as well as being a popular stop for celebrity chefs and cooking specialists.
Kitchenwares on the Square is also McKinney’s only dealer of Big Green Egg, the popular brand of charcoal barbecue cookers. Kitchenwares on the Square hosts regular events and promotions featuring top-of-the-line kitchen gadgets and newly published cookbook authors.
With Kitchenwares on the Square’s upgraded physical appearance also comes a reboot in its digital presence as the store embarks on new ways to connect with customers through online media. A new website will go live shortly, and will integrate with the company’s new social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
