Organic products sold under Kroger’s private-label brands have topped $1 billion in annual sales, representing 1 percent of the grocer’s total revenue.The country’s second-largest retailer has more than 35,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) that are organic or natural, approximately 5,800 of which were added in the past year, according to a Bloomberg report. American Tea Consumption Quadruples Since 1990
The U.S. tea market has more than quadrupled over the past 23 years, from $2 billion in 1990 to more than $10 billion in 2013, according to the U.S. Tea Association. The Japanese Culinary Arts Network (JCAN) is bringing master knife craftsmen to the United States for a tour demonstrating traditional Japanese knife-making, including a stop at the Cook’s Warehouse in Decatur, Ga. Homeland Housewares LLC., maker and distributor of the NutriBullet, won a preliminary injunction for false advertising issued against the Nutri Ninja Pro blender, manufactured by Euro-Pro Operating LLC.  The text on the packaging for the Nutri Ninja Pro blender claimed it was better than the NutriBullet based on false statements about certain product features.
