SIAL Canada Reveals Innovation Award Finalists

SIAL Canada, which takes place April 28-30 at the Direct Energy Center in Toronto, named the 10 finalists for its Innovation Award.

The award will be announced at the show. All the finalists will benefit from the unique opportunity of traveling the world by visiting all the SIAL Group’s shows, which take place in Canada, China, Brazil, the Philippines, Indonesia, Paris and Abu Dhabi.

The finalists are:

Doi Chaang Coffee Co. Social Medium organic and fair trade coffee pods from Thailand and British Columbia;

Exotico Sumatra Robusta Instant Green Coffee from Indonesia;

Fantino & Mondello Dry Salami bites in a resealable bag from Quebec;

Fresh Attitude Fraiche Teriyaki Stir Fry in microwaveable bowls from Quebec;

Haskapa Haskap Juice Drink made from haskap berries from Nova Scotia;

Malimousse Seafood Dip made with Greek yogurt from Quebec;

Nupasta Konjac Angel Hair made from konjac root and soy from China and Ontario;

Omax chilled or frozen nutrition bars from Quebec;

Pure Infused Maple Syrup from Nova Scotia; and

Walter All-Natural Craft Caesar Mix for cocktails from British Columbia.

This is the third time that SIAL Canada, the largest food trade show in Canada, has been held in Toronto. This year’s edition will include nearly 800 exhibitors and visitors from at least 60 countries. 

Indonesia is SIAL Canada’s Country of Honor for 2015. It will be represented by a 3,400-square-foot pavilion featuring 25 companies.
