Portland, ME (February 10, 2022) – The 11 finalists for the 2022 Seafood Excellence Awards, the prestigious best new products competition at Seafood Expo North America, have been announced. Winners of the competition will be revealed on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 3:00pmin the Demonstration Theater during Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America, taking place March 13-15, 2022, in Boston, MA, USA.
The Seafood Excellence Awards annually recognize the product leaders in the North American seafood market. Each year, exhibitors have the opportunity to submit their new products for consideration.
The 2022 finalists will compete for two awards: Best New Foodservice Product and Best New Retail Product. The finalists’ products will be evaluated on Sunday, March 13 from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the New Product Showcase area at the expo. Three seafood industry experts will judge the products based on their uniqueness and appropriateness to the market, taste profile, packaging, market potential, convenience, nutritional value and originality.

- Neptune Snacks – Wild Alaska Pollock Jerky
- Ocean Beauty Seafoods – Echo Falls Wild Alaska Hot Smoked Sablefish
- Ocean Beauty Seafoods – Echo Falls Wild Alaska Sockeye Salmon Tapas Slices - Mediterranean
- Pacific Seafood – Tidal Tots
- Pescanova USA – Pescanova Branzino with Pesto Sauce
- Kitchens Seafood, Inc. – Honey Walnut Shrimp
Each finalist’s product, and all other new products submitted for the competition, will be showcased in the New Product Showcase during the three-day exposition in Boston.
