Robert Rothschild Farm Expands to China

Robert Rothschild Farm, a gourmet food company based in Urbana, Ohio, has launched its product line in the Asian market, including Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing, with the assistance of EXIM Strategies Corp., an export management firm, and JC Foods, a Hong Kong-based food and beverage importer and distributor.

Robert Rothschild Farm is continually recognized as one of the top gourmet food manufacturers in the United States and has been honored with numerous awards both nationally and internationally for its products that range from dips and sauces to mustards and fruit spreads.

“The gourmet products that we create are so unique and full of flavor,” said Jim Gordon, president of Robert Rothschild Farm. “Consumers love our unique flavor profiles, whether it is here in the United States or abroad.”

With one of the fastest-growing middle-class sectors in the world, the food-buying customer in China is expecting and is attracted to better-quality products from the United States, said Ed Proctor, vice president-special accounts for EXIM Strategies.

EXIM Strategies has been exporting U.S.-produced goods into China as a direct result of Presidential Executive Order – National Export Initiative (NEI). The NEI directs all manufacturers, export firms and related government agencies to double U.S. exports over a five-year period.

“One of the true opportunities of helping to reduce the deficit and stimulate our economy is to sell U.S. products outside of our borders,” said Proctor. “With the hard work and continual effort from the U.S. commercial service and our trade representatives at U.S. embassies around the world, it is evident resources are being made to assist in the success of the National Export Initiative.”
