Q Squared NYC Forms Strategic Partnership in Germany

Q Squared NYC, a premium melamine industry leader, announced its global expansion by establishing marketing and distribution offices in Hamburg, Germany.

The company has formed a strategic partnership with housewares industry veterans in the European sector. Claus Winkelmann, Heiko Haase, Andreas Book and Gabrielle Block are partners in the new venture called Q Squared NYC GmbH & Co. KG.

Since launching domestically in 2011, Q Squared NYC has seen an explosive international customer demand that would benefit from a dedicated team and distribution center in Europe. Germany is the largest European market with the strongest European economy, and its central location makes it the ideal place for European distribution.

“Our expansion to Germany was a natural step in our growth, allowing us to better serve our international customers,” said Nancy Mosny, CEO. “We’re extremely confident in our partners. They will play an essential role as we create a strong market presence for Q Squared in Europe.”

Each individual partner has more than 30 years of experience in the European housewares industry and has established contacts with key retail and hospitality accounts throughout Germany.

The German expansion is the first step in what Mosny describes as an “overall international strategy” with plans to unveil additional marketing and distribution centers in Asia and Australia in the next two years. The U.S. strategy remains intact as Q Squared NYC continues to grow domestically.

Founded by mother-daughter team Nancy and Alaina Mosny, Q Squared was created as an alternative to overpriced and under-designed dinnerware. They saw an opportunity to elevate affordable design to include beautiful and ornate designs typically only seen on antique china and porcelain.

After a small test run internationally, the two officially debuted Q Squared in 2011. Its product line includes dinnerware, serveware, drinkware and flatware.
