Kuhn Rikon Announces Independent Retailer Partnership Promotion During COVID-19

May 18, Novato, CA – In an effort to help independent retailers during these unprecedented times, Kuhn Rikon is, for the first time ever, reaching out directly to independent retailers with a unique collaborative promotion.

The promotion is simple, and is accessible even to small retailers without a shoppable e-commerce site. To participate, stores simply reach out their usual customers with a unique discount code provided by Kuhn Rikon. Customers can shop the Kuhn Rikon webshop using that code. The customer receives 10% off the standard retail price, while the store receives a 20% commission for each sale generated by their promo code. The purchases are then fulfilled and shipped by Kuhn Rikon directly to the consumer.

The company said that while many kitchen retailers remain closed now, many are looking for creative ways to keep providing their customers with the products they need and the service they expect. Even without the traditional shopping experience, customers are increasingly interested in home cooking, as well as in supporting local businesses over online retail giants.

“We want to help our independent retail partners keep their virtual doors open,” says Edward Margetts, Executive Vice President of Kuhn Rikon Corp., “so that when the time is right they will be able to open their actual doors once again.”

“This promotion allows retailers to continue to offer terrific products to their customers, and stay at the forefront of those customers’ minds—all without having to do any of the fulfillment or shipping,” Margetts explains. “And best of all, the retailer makes money on every purchase.”

Kuhn Rikon has not announced how long this promotion will last. “It is goal is to help our retail partners for as long as is necessary in these uncertain times,” says Margetts.

In these unprecedented times, retailers and manufacturers are finding new and creative ways to pool their resources and work together—in this case, combining product inventory and e-commerce know-how, on one side, with community connections on the other. For manufacturer, retailer, and customer—it is a win-win-win all around.
