Kritsti Forbes Named To Head New York Merchandise Mart At Forty One Madison

(NEW YORK, NY – NOVEMBER, 2017)—The Rudin family, the owner and operator of the New York Merchandise Mart at Forty One Madison, has named Kristi Forbes as its new Director. Forbes, who ascended the executive management ranks at AmericasMart Atlanta over the past 25 years, most recently was Vice President of leasing. She is relocating to New York and takes the reins December 4, succeeding Laurie Burns, who is leaving after a nine-year tenure.

According to Eric Rudin, President of Rudin Management, “We conducted a far-reaching search for this position, which uniquely requires a deep knowledge of the tabletop industry coupled with real estate leasing savvy. Kristi comes to us with substantial industry experience and a strong performance track record. Moreover, she already is well acquainted with the showrooms at Forty One Madison and the industry’s leadership. We are extremely pleased she has agreed to accept this important position.”

While at AmericasMart, Forbes led a leasing team responsible for the tabletop, gift, housewares and gourmet categories of showrooms currently occupying 687,000 square feet. She also was instrumental in creating and organizing numerous image-building and traffic-driving special events for her customer base.
