Bradley Beach, NJ, Release: For Immediate Release.
The Cookware & Bakeware Alliance (CBA) announced significant achievements across all strategic initiatives in 2025, marking it as a pivotal year for the organization and the industries it serves. The association welcomed four new members, broke attendance records at industry meetings, and successfully advocated for member interests in critical legislative battles across multiple states.
"2025 demonstrated the power of collective action in our industry," said CBA Managing Director, Fran Attilio. "From record-breaking meeting attendance to groundbreaking advocacy work, our members showed unwavering commitment to advancing product safety and industry excellence through collaboration."
Member Participation Sets New Benchmark
Member engagement reached unprecedented levels in 2025, with 85 individual volunteers from 32 member companies actively serving on committees. The Fall Meeting shattered previous records with 75 attendees from 43 member companies—representing 77% of the membership, the highest participation rate in CBA history.
The association's four annual events—Spring and Fall meetings plus Winter and Summer member webinars—achieved consistent high attendance, with the Summer webinar reaching a 70% attendance rate. Combined, these events drew 152 attendees from 42 member companies throughout the year.
Advocacy Efforts Deliver Tangible Results
The CBA's advocacy work in 2025 produced significant wins for the industry. The association successfully partnered with stakeholders to advocate in Washington State, engaged with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), and joined forces to oppose California SB682.
On the federal level, the CBA submitted formal letters to the Department of Justice addressing the impact of state legislation on the industry. The association also maintained a live legislation tracker covering PFAS, lead, cadmium, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws across all 50 states, providing members with real-time intelligence on regulatory changes.
"Our members need a unified voice to navigate the increasingly complex regulatory landscape," noted Attilio. "The CBA delivered that voice in 2025, protecting member interests while advancing product safety standards across the industry."
Technical Excellence and Industry Standards
The CBA's Engineering committees made substantial progress in 2025, with the updated Nonstick Chapter entering member review and a new Ceramic Bakeware Standard advancing to executive review. The association also published its fourth Good ScienceEducation Document on PFAS, with additional documents on PFAS and lead/cadmium currently in development.
The organization completed a comprehensive toxicologist report on lead testing, providing members with critical scientific expertise that would cost individual companies tens of thousands of dollars to develop independently.
Strategic Partnerships Amplify Impact
The CBA strengthened partnerships with key industry stakeholders including the Cookware and Bakeware Alliance (CSA), the International Housewares Association (IHA), the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), and the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM). The association also expanded its relationship with Noia Tecnicafor engineering standards support.
Additionally, partnerships with Euromonitor, C.H. Robinson, and the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) provided members with ongoing tariff updates and market intelligence.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Building on 2025's momentum, the CBA is positioned to deliver even greater value to its member companies in the year ahead. The association continues to focus on its five strategic initiatives: Membership Growth, Strategic Communication, Organizational Excellence, Member & Committee Engagement, and High-Impact Services.
"The strength we demonstrated in 2025 shows what's possible when industry leaders come together with a shared commitment to excellence," concluded Attilio. "We're not just an association—we're a community dedicated to advancing the cookware and bakeware industries through collaboration, expertise, and unwavering dedication to product safety."
