Brennan's Market to Close After 75 Years
MADISON, Wis., July 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In 1942, when Frank Brennan opened his road-side fruit stand in Monroe, Wisconsin, he wasn't aware his legacy would last for 75 years. Unfortunately, due to changing consumer habits and increased competition, Brennan's Market will be closing all stores September 30, 2017. Brennan's Market, with five retail locations and cheese warehouse & packaging facility, employs 150 full and part-time workers. Paris, France - July 3rd, 2017 - Danone has entered into a binding agreement with Lactalis to sell Stonyfield, one of its U.S. dairy subsidiaries, for a purchase price of $875 million, representing 20 times its EBITDA in 2016.
