SIAL Canada Returns to Toronto
Professional food show SIAL Canada (Salon International de l’Alimentation) is returning to Toronto from April 30 to May 2 at the Direct Energy Centre in Exhibition Place. More than 14,000 attendees from 60 countries went to the 2012 show in Montreal last year to visit more than 700 exhibitors, representing a considerable increase in show traffic, according to SIAL. Talin Market World Food Fare in Santa Fe, N.M., will open its second store in February. The new store, in Luna, will be approximately 5,000 square feet and will offer Northern New Mexicans easier access to exotic food ingredients from all over the world. The top food trends for 2013 have been picked by a panel of trendspotters at the 38th Winter Fancy Food Show, which ended yesterday in San Francisco.
