Wisconsin Remains Top Cheese-Producing State
Cheese production in Wisconsin ended two straight years of modest growth in 2012 with its strongest percentage gain in a decade, and Wisconsin increased its hold as the nation’s top cheese producer.
Wisconsin increased overall cheese production by 4.6 percent to 2.8 billion pounds in 2012, according to statistics from the National Agricultural Statistics Service that were compiled by UW-Madison agricultural and applied economics professor Brian Gould and analyzed by the Wisconsin State Journal.

IHA Announces Innovation Awards Finalists
The names of the 65 finalists in the second annual IHA Innovations Awards have been released by the International Housewares Association (IHA). Winners in each of 13 categories will be announced in a ceremony during the International Home + Housewares Show at 4:30 p.m. March 2 in the Innovation Theater, Room E350, Lakeside Center, followed by a reception at the Innovation Awards display in the Hall of Global Innovation.

Online Grocery Shopping Trends Revealed
As the popularity of online shopping grows, consumers are beginning to explore new digital shopping categories, including groceries. A new survey from CouponCabin.com finds that 15 percent of U.S. adults have shopped for groceries online. An additional 19 percent said they don’t currently, but plan to in the future.
This survey was conducted online within the United States by Harris Interactive on behalf of CouponCabin from Jan. 29 to 31 among 2,109 U.S. adults ages 18 and older.
