Stonewall Kitchen Wild Maine Blueberry Jam will be flown to space this June, scheduled to ship to the International Space Station (ISS) on the space cargo vehicle designated as HTV4. The jam will be one of the food items the ISS astronauts will eat while flying around the world in low earth orbit.

Study: Women Read, Use Food Labels More Than Men Do
Women check and use food label components more often and thoroughly than men, according to a recent study from the University of Alabama and published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and featured in the May issue of Food Nutrition & Science, a monthly newsletter.
The study, which looked at a sample of 573 males and 809 females aged 19 to 70, found women use the Nutrition Facts label, health claims, ingredient lists and serving sizes more frequently than men when making decisions about food products.

The Rogers Family Co. announced recently that it has won a patent lawsuit filed by Keurig last year over the Rogers’ single-serve coffee product OneCup.
“I am pleased to announce that the U.S. District Court in Boston ruled that the Rogers Family Co.’s OneCup products do not infringe any of the Keurig patents,” said Jon B. Dark Chocolate Creeps Up on Milk Chocolate in Popularity
There’s no contest when it comes to the preference of chocolate – milk chocolate still rules this confectionery battleground. However, dark chocolate is creeping up in popularity. The latest research from Mintel reveals that for just more than half (51 percent) of all adult consumers, the favorite type of plain chocolate is milk chocolate, followed by 35 percent who favor dark chocolate and 8 percent who prefer white chocolate.
