NY NOW Winter 2014 Market Adds Extra Day, Additional Venue
NY NOW, the Market for Home & Lifestyle (formerly known as NYIGF), has added an extra day to the winter 2014 event, and will expand its use of multiple locations.The show will now include the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and both Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94. With the addition of one weekday to the winter schedule, the six-day market will open on Saturday, Feb. 1, and run through Thursday, Feb. 6, rather than Feb. 5, as previously announced. Robert Rothschild Farm has acquired the sauce, dipping oil, marinade, condiments and rub business of Tulocay & Co., an award-winning premium food manufacturer in California.  Tulocay & Co. consists of a family of brands and products, including Made In Napa Valley, Vineyard Pantry and various other products.  This is the first acquisition by Robert Rothschild Farm, said Kim Maalouf, marketing director, who noted there is the potential for further acquisitions down the road. Panorama Foods, a Massachusetts-based maker of specialty foods, has acquired Wing-Time Inc., a producer of Buffalo wing sauces based in Colorado Springs, Colo. Wing-Time is a line of all-natural Buffalo wing sauces in five varieties. The company’s founder and president, Terry Brown, was raised in Buffalo, N.Y., and his background heavily influenced the creation of the line more than 20 years ago.
