Vintage Confections, a company specializing in custom-made lollipops based in Clarendon Hills, Ill., recently signed a $1.2 million guaranteed purchase order with a large distributor to grow its business. As a result, Vintage Confections outgrew its current production space and needed $150,000 in growth funding to continue to expand.

Gourmet Distributor Expands With Wisconsin Warehouse
Gourmet Foods International (GFI), an Atlanta-based distributor of specialty foods, plans to open a distribution center later this year in the Business Park of Kenosha, Wis., according to the Kenosha News.
The company has completed a $2.6 million transaction to expand Gourmet Foods’ distribution network into the Milwaukee, Chicago and Minneapolis markets. Company officials have not disclosed details of the transaction.

Fourteen high-quality teas took first-place awards in key categories during the North American Tea Championship’s (NATC) evaluation of spring-harvest 2015 hot teas.
