Specialty Food Association Honored for Hunger Relief Efforts
The Specialty Food Association (SFA) has been awarded a Power of A Gold Award from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) for its work to help reduce hunger and increase food recovery via the grant making, education and industry events of its Specialty Food Foundation. Joel Schuman, 62, president of Source Atlantique, died following a multi-year battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Schuman was founding partner and managing director and served as president of the Englewood Cliffs, N.J.-based importer and marketer of specialty foods for more than 24 years.
